Hope College's Ben Zank has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets through Sept. 14.

The senior from Midland, Michigan (Dow HS), finished 37th among 371 runners at the Michigan State University Invitational in East Lansing Friday. Zank covered the 8-kilometer course in 25 minutes, 32 seconds.

Zank is receiving the first MIAA Runner of the Week honor of his career.

Hope returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the MIAA Invitational hosted by Kalamazoo College.
