Hope College's David Porte has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played through October 4.
The senior forward from Mattawan, Michigan (Mattawan HS), received the honor for the first time after scoring goals in both of Hope's one-goal triumphs last week.
On Saturday, Porte the game-winning score in a 1-0 victory against Trine in the 50th minute.
On Wednesday, he also scored during a 3-2 win against Albion in the 52nd minute to break a 1-1 tie shortly after the break.
Porte finished the week with four points on two goals, five shots on goal and nine shot attempts.
Hope returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Olivet.
