Two Hope College women's soccer players have earned all-region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for the 2015 season.
Freshman midfielder Rylie Dalton of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford HS) made All-Central Region Second Team, while sophomore forward Erin Brophy of West Lafayette, Indiana (West Lafayette HS) claimed third-team recognition.
Hope coach Leigh Bears praised both players.
"Rylie did a solid job of playing in our middle and stepped up when senior Kristin Hazlett was injured," Sears said. "She had a knack for being in the right place at the right time and became a consistent contributor.
"Erin is a tremendous playmaker who was able to break outside defenders to turn the corner or serve a great ball. She also had the ability to score herself."
Dalton finished second of the Flying Dutch with eight goals, including four game-winners. Seven of her goals came in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play. She made the All-MIAA Second Team.
Brophy led the MIAA with nine assists and added five goals. She tied for ninth all-time in assists in a single season at Hope. She received All-MIAA First Team honors.
