Junior Boone Marois of Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City Central HS), won one event to lead the Hope College men's track & field team at the Calvin Indoor Invitational on Saturday.
Boone Marois won the 60 meters in 7.0 seconds and placed second in the 200 in 23.06.
Hope's 4 by 400 relay of sophomore Ryan Arndt of Holland, Michigan (Zeeland West HS), sophomore Cameron Jones of Holland, Michigan (Black River HS), freshman Zach Pieri of Alto, Michigan (Caledonia HS), and freshman Matt Ruff of Wayne, Illinois (Wheaton Academy HS), clocked a second-place time of 3:33.27.
Junior Dion Goliday of Muskegon, Michigan (Oakridge HS), placed third in the long jump at 6.02 meters and third in the triple jump at 12.58.
Junior Luke Washington of Bollingbrook, Illinois (Timothy Christian HS), was fifth in the triple jump at 11.80.
Hope's 4 by 200 relay of sophomore Matt Pelyhes of Augusta, Michigan (Gull Lake HS), freshman Grant Viahopoulos of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Saline HS), freshman Josh Smith of Southfield, Michigan (Birmingham Seaholm HS), and Marois finished fourth in 1:35.72.
Freshman Zach Buth of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian HS), took fifth in the high jump by clearing 1.81 meters.
Ruff finished fifth in the 400 with a time of 51.72.
