Hope Women's Diver Sarah Sheridan Claims Return Trip To Nationals

Record-setting diver Sarah Sheridan will represent Hope College a second time at the NCAA Division III Championship.

The junior from Richmond, Indiana (Richmond HS), is one of seven women's divers who advanced from the national qualifier hosted by the University of Chicago this weekend.

Sheridan, pictured, will compete along with Hope swimmer Molly Meyer at the March 18-21 Division III Championships in Shenandoah, Texas. Sheridan finished seventh in both the 1- and 3-meter boards last season.

Sheridan placed third out of 28 divers in 3-meter diving on Saturday. She had a score of 487.65 points.

On Friday, Sheridan was runner-up in 1-meter diving.

Sheridan holds all four of Hope's dual and championship meet records.

Junior Stephanie Polet of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS), was 22nd in 3-meter diving with a total of 402.30 points.
