No. 25 Hope Women's Tennis Downs Knox, Illinois 9-0 In Florida

The 25th-ranked Hope College women's tennis team served up an eighth consecutive win on Friday while sweeping Knox, Illinois in Orlando, Florida.

The 9-0 win raised the Flying Dutch's record to 8-1 overall, including 8-0 against NCAA Division III opponents.

Hope dropped only one game in singles play as the Flying Dutch won all of those matches in straight sets.

Senior Carli Capestany of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville HS), partnered with freshman Amanda Susnak of Lowell, Michigan (Lowell HS), for the first time to earn an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.

It was Capestany's 65th doubles win at Hope, breaking a tie for sixth place all-time in Flying Dutch history with Nicole Spagnuolo (2008-10).

Hope returns to action on Friday when the Flying Dutch play a 4:30 p.m. nonleague match at Denison, Ohio.
