The Hope College men's track & field team recorded three third-place finishes at the Emory, Georgia Invitational on Saturday in Atlanta.
The Flying Dutchmen finished 11th out of 28 teams with 38 points.
Senior Ben Zank of Midland, Michigan (H.H. Dow HS), placed third in 10,000 meters at 31 minutes, 38.32 seconds.
Sophomore Cameron Jones of Holland, Michigan (Black River HS), took third in the 800 meters at 1:56.00.
The Flying Dutch finished third in the 4 by 800 relay. Sophomore Nicholas Salomon of Troy, Michigan (Detroit Jesuit HS), senior Tim Simon of Richland, Michigan (Gull Lake HS), junior Noah Litwiller of Delavan, Illinois (Olympia HS), and freshman David Wolliston of Remus, Michigan (Chippewa Hills HS), had a time of 7:56.23.
Senior Jacob Everly of Marian, Illinois (Marian Central Catholic HS), was fourth in the javelin with a toss of 42.66 meters.
Senior Zach Zandbergen of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS), came in fifth in the 3000 steeplechase at 9:45.10. Sophomore Tyler Brinks of Commerce Township, Michigan (Walled Lake Northern HS), was sixth at 9:49.57.
Freshman Matt Ruff of Wayne, Illinois (Wheaton Academy HS), placed sixth in the 400 meters at 49.8.
Junior Boone Marois of Traverse City, Michigan (Central HS), finished seventh in the 200 meters at 22.78.
Hope also took eighth in the 4 by 400 relay. Ruff, Jones, Marois and Salomon had a run of 3:27.83.
Hope competes next on March 27-28 at the Grand Rapids Open at Houseman Field.
