Sophomore Winton Munch of Traverse City, Michigan (Central HS), fired a 3-over-par 75 as the Hope College men's golf team placed third at the Steven Tyler Intercollegiate on Monday.

Munch finished third out of 48 golfers at The Moors Golf Club in Kalamazoo. He was one stroke off the lead.

Hope shot a team score of 315, trailing Rochester by 10 strokes and Trine by three.

Senior Ben Lewis of Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), tied for 10th place with a 79.

Senior Ben Lanting, of Littleton, Colorado (Front Range Christian HS) carded an 80 to tie for 17th.

Senior Evan Telzerow of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS), shot an 81 to tie for 19th.

Senior Collin Breit of Muskegon, Michigan (Western Michigan Christian HS), had an 84 and tied for 26th.
