Senior Evan Telzerow of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS), carded one of the top rounds in Hope College men's golf team history on Thursday while leading the Flying Dutchmen to victory at Trine's Bill Gettig Invitational.
Telzerow shot a 4-under-par 67 at Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana, for the 17-team tournament's winning round.
The Flying Dutchmen posted a winning score of 282. They finished two strokes ahead of Madonna and four strokes ahead of third-place Bethel, Indiana.
Senior Collin Breit of Muskegon, Michigan (Western Michigan Christian HS), tied for fourth place with a 70.
Sophomore Winton Munch of Traverse City, Michigan (Central HS), chipped in a 72 for a 10th-place tie.
Senior Ben Lanting of Littleton, Colorado (Front Range Christian HS), tied for 19th with a 73.
Senior Ben Lewis of Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), had a 79.
Hope returns to action on Monday, April 13, at the Steven Tyler Intercollegiates at The Moors Golf Club in Kalamazoo.
