Distance runner Ben Zank and long jumper Dion Goliday both placed ninth on Friday for the Hope College men's track & field team at the North Central Gregory Invitational in Naperville, Illinois.

Zank, a senior from Midland, Michigan (H.H. Dow HS), clocked a 10,000-meter time of 31 minutes, 33.82 seconds.

Goliday, a junior from Muskegon, Michigan (Oakrdige HS), recorded a leap of 21 feet, 1 ¼ inches.

It was a nonscoring meet.

Junior Luke Washington of Bolingbrook, Illinois (Timothy Christian HS), took 11^th in the triple jump with a leap of 40 feet, 5 inches and 14^th in the 100 meters with a time of 11.40.

Freshman Matt Ruff of Wayne, Illinois (Wheaton Academy  HS), placed 11^th in the 400 meters at 50.47 and 13^th in the 200 meters at 22.44.

Senior Jacob Everly of Woodstock, Illinois (Marian Catholic Central HS), was 11^th in the javelin at 151-6.

Freshman Zach Williams of Dowagiac, Michigan (Dowagiac HS), finished 13^th in the triple jump at 38-9 ¾ and 15^th in the long jump at 19-2.

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Tyler Brinks of Commerce Township, Michigan (Walled Lake Northern HS), came in 19^th at 9:38.25, while freshman Ben Pederson of Mount Prospect, Illinois (Prospect HS) was 21^st at 9:41.50.

Sophomore Richard Medina of Bensenville, Illinois (Timothy Christian HS), was 25^th in the 400 meters at 52.86.
