Hope College's Lauren Hazekamp has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Speciality Volleyball Player of the Week for games played through Saturday, Sept. 5.

The senior setter from Fruitport, Michigan (Fruitport HS), totaled 116 assists, 34 digs and 16 kills while helping the Flying Dutch post a 2-1 record at the University of Chicago Gargoyle Classic last weekend.

Hazekamp also served seven aces during the matches against Aurora, Ill., Millikin, Ill., and Chicago.

This is the fourth time in her career Hazekamp has been honored by the MIAA.

Hope is ranked ninth in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll. The Flying Dutch open MIAA play at Albion on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
