The Hope College men's cross country team placed 14th at the 17-team Muskegon Community College Invitational on Friday.
The Flying Dutchmen totaled 394 points.
Freshman James Cerone of Fishers, Indiana (Fishers HS) clocked the top 8k performance for Hope with a 90th-place time out of 189 runners of 28 minutes, 3.49 seconds.
Freshman Andrew Schuring of Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Linn Mar) took 122nd at 29:17.08.
Freshman John McMorris of Saline, Michigan (Saline) recorded a 138th-place run of 30.01.4.
Freshman Ryan Kieta of Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton North) came in 141st at 30:10.94.
Sophomore Prescott Binder of Zeeland, Michigan (Zeeland East) was 155th at 31:19.02.
The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational.
