The Hope College women's soccer team was idle this weekend but still moved into a tie for first place in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings.
The Flying Dutch pulled even with Kalamazoo after Kalamazoo lost 2-1 at Albion on Saturday.
Hope and Kalamazoo are atop the MIAA with 11-2-2 league records with one match remaining.
Hope travels to Calvin on Monday for its regular-season finale, while Kalamazoo plays at Olivet. Both matches start at 3 p.m.
A Hope win clinches a share of the MIAA title for the Flying Dutch. Hope needs to finish ahead of Kalamazoo to earn the top seed for the MIAA Tournament because Kalamazoo owns the tiebreaker edge over the Flying Dutch with a 1-0-1 record against them this season.
Regardless of Monday's outcome, Hope will host a semifinal match in the MIAA Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. as one of the top two seeds.
