Welcome to today's 7 p.m. Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association volleyball match between the nationally ranked Hope College Flying Dutch and Kalamazoo College Hornets. This is the final match in the first half of the MIAA schedule.

Hope enters with a 13-2 overall record and a second-place MIAA record of 6-1. Kalamazoo is 7-11 overall and 1-6 in league matches.
This is the 81st all-time match between Hope and Kalamazoo. The Flying Dutch lead the series 65-15 and have won the past 25 matches in a row.
Sophomore Vanessa Reyhnout is tied for first in the MIAA at 1.08 blocks per set.
Senior Alexis Thompson and junior Sophia Hackett both rank second in the MIAA in respective categories. Thompson is averaging 5.09 digs per set, while Hackett is contributing 10.11 assists per set.
Two Hope players rank in the top five among MIAA leaders in kills per set: sophomore Katie Rietberg (fourth at 3.30) and senior Sarah Feldpausch (fifth at 3.12). Senior Courtney Van Houzen is fifth

Hope's next match is Friday, Oct. 7 at Alma at 6:30 p.m. The Flying Dutch return home on Wednesday, Oct. 12 for a 6:30 p.m. match vs. Olivet on the DeYoung Volleyball Court. Hope then plays four matches at home at the Midwest Invitational on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 14-15.
