Three Women's Soccer Players Claim NSCAA All-Region Honors

Hope College soccer players Elizabeth Perkins, Natalie Curry and Erin Brophy have received all-region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Perkins is a first-team selection in the Central Region and eligible for All-America consideration. Brophy was a second-team honoree.

Perkins led the Flying Dutch to a regular-season title share in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, an MIAA Tournament championship and the fifth NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in school history while setting school records for goals and points in a single season.

The senior from Eaton Rapids, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS) totaled 25 goals and seven assists for 57 points as Hope finished with a 15-4-2 overall record. She tied for the most goals in NCAA Division III during the regular season.

Perkins earlier this fall was selected a College Sports Information Directors of America First Team Academic All-American and MIAA Most Valuable Player.

Brophy, a junior from West Lafayette, Indiana (West Lafayette) collected a career-high 11 goals and six assists this season for a career-best 28 points.

Curry, a senior from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville Calvin Christian) netted a career-high seven goals and two assists for a career-high 16 points.

Brophy and Curry joined Perkins on the All-MIAA First Team.
