The Hope College women's tennis team dropped a matchup of nationally ranked teams to Case Western Reserve, Ohio 8-1 on Saturday at DeWitt Tennis Center.

The 27^th-ranked Flying Dutch fell to 0-2 on the season.

Senior Anna Garcia of Battle Creek, Michigan (Lakeview HS) recorded Hope's point against No. 20 Case Western Reserve.

Garcia defeated Taylor Sweeney in three sets at No. 2 singles 4-6, 6-4, 10-3.

Hope returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 23 when the Flying Dutch host Davenport at DeWitt Tennis Center.
