Winton Munch and Ben Kramer both carded 74s at The Moors Golf Club in Portage to lead the Hope College men's golf team to a first-place finish at the Steven Tyler Intercollegiate on Monday.
The Flying Dutchmen won the 13-team event with a score of 308. They finished one stroke ahead of runner-up Adrian and four strokes ahead of third-place Trine.
Munch, a junior from Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City Central HS), and Kramer, a freshman from Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake HS), both finished 2-over-par for the best rounds among 62 golfers.
Sophomore Kade Hoeksema of Grand Rapids, Michigan (South Christian HS) tied for 13th place by carding a 79.
Freshman Andrew Goble of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS) tied for 22nd with an 81 that rounded out Hope's scoring.
Sophomore Jack Geshay of Indianapolis, Indiana (North Central HS) added an 83 for the Flying Dutchmen.
Hope returns to action on Saturday, April 16 at the Furniture City Classic in Grand Rapids.
