Winton Munch fired a 3-under-par 70 to earn the medalist honors and lead the Hope College men's golf team to a first-place finish at the Calvin Spring Invitational on Tuesday.
The junior from Traverse City, Michigan (Central HS) led a field of 48 golfers in the nine-team event at Pilgrim's Run in Pierson.
Hope totaled a team score of 307 to finish five strokes ahead of runner-up Madonna.
Freshman Andrew Goble of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS) placed second in the tournament with a 73.
Sophomore Kade Hoeksema of Byron Center, Michigan (South Christian HS) tied for 14th with an 80.
Freshman Ben Kramer of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake HS) chipped in an 84 to tie for 28th.
Freshman Josh Gibson of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS) had an 86.
The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Wednesday, April 20 at the Trine Spring Classic in Angola, Indiana.
