Matt Ruff recorded a third-place effort in the 400-meter run to lead the Hope College men's track & field team at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays on Friday.

The sophomore from Wayne, Illinois (Wheaton Academy HS) clocked a time of 49.94 seconds. Ruff is pictured at right.

Senior Boone Marois of Traverse City, Michigan (Central HS) finished fifth in the 200 meters and sixth in the 100 meters. He had a time of 22.17 seconds in the 200 meters and 11.07 in the 100 meters.

Freshman Justin Freeman of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) took fifth in the 100 meters at 11.06.

Senior Luke Washington of Bolingbrook, Illinois (Timothy Christian HS) gave Hope three top-10 runners in the 100 with a time of 11.16.

Junior Richard Medina of Bensenville, Illinois (Timothy Christian HS) came in ninth in the 400 meter hurdles at 1:00.40.
