The Hope College men's track & field team took third place at the Calvin Tune-Up Invitational on Saturday.
The Flying Dutchmen totaled 75 points at the nine-team event.
Senior Boone Marois of Traverse City, Michigan (Central HS) led a group of four Hope runners in the top five of the 100 meters.
Marois clocked a winning time of 11.04 seconds. Following him were freshman Justin Freeman of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) in third at 11.22, senior Luke Washington of Bolingbrook, Illinois (Timothy Christian HS) in fourth at 11.22, and senior Dion Goliday of Muskegon, Michigan (Oakridge HS) in fifth at 11.24.
Hope clocked the fastest time in the 4x100 relay with a run of 41.95 seconds.
Sophomore Matt Ruff of Wayne, Illinois (Wheaton Academy) took second in the 400 meters at 49.36 seconds.
Freshman Louis Kopp of Spring, Texas (Providence Classical HS) finished runner-up in the triple jump at 13.36 meters (43 feet, 9 inches).
Sophomore William Henkel of Lambertville, Michigan (Erie-Mason HS) came in third in the high jump at 1.90 meters (6-3).
Hope's next competition is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day on Thursday-Friday, May 5-6 at Olivet College.
