The Hope College women's swimming & diving team recorded the third-highest team grade point average in NCAA Division III during the fall semester during the 2016-17 school year.
Coach John Patnott's Flying Dutch are among a record 638 women's and men's teams from all NCAA and NAIA divisions to be named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Teams for the fall semester.
Hope earned a team GPA of 3.65. Only MIT (3.72) and Pomona Pitzer, Calif. (3.69) were higher in Division III.
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the fall semester.
The Hope men's swimming & diving team also claimed CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors with a 3.13 team GPA.
