Brandon Wolliston improved his school record in the indoor 400 meters at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on Friday in Allendale.

The senior from Remus, Michigan (Chippewa Hills HS) clocked a time of 49.79 seconds to finish 13th in the field of 41 NCAA Division I, II and III, and NAIA, runners.

On Saturday, Wolliston helped the Flying Dutchmen's distance medley relay placed 13th with a time of 10:24.30. He teamed with senior Cameron Jones of Holland, Michigan (Black River), junior Peter Timperman of Lafayette, Indiana (Faith Christian), and junior Benjamin Pederson of Mount Prospect, Illinois (Prospect).

On Friday, Jones placed 32nd in the 800 meters. He posted a time of 1 minute, 55.27 seconds.

Senior Julian Morrison of Aurora, Illinois (Waubonsie Valley HS) came in 45th in the 5,000 meters at 15:00.17.

Sophomore Avery Lowe of North Muskegon, Michigan (North Muskegon) was Hope's lone female competitor. She was 56th in the 5,000 meters at 18:20.54.
