Hope College's Brandon Wolliston is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Track Athlete of the Week for meets through February 19.

The junior from Remus, Michigan (Chippewa Hills HS) won the 400 meters at the Grand Valley State University Open last week while improving his own school record performance.

Wolliston clocked a time of 48.87 seconds at GVSU to top a field that included a NCAA Division I, II and II athletes.

This is the first time Wolliston has received the MIAA weekly honor.
