Box Score The 23rd-ranked Hope College women's tennis team made it a clean sweep down south.
The Flying Dutch defeated an opponent 9-0 for the fourth time during their spring break trip on Friday, downing Grinnell, Iowa at the United States Tennis Association National Training Center in Lake Nona, Florida.
Hope (7-2 overall) extended its win streak to six matches.
Senior Nancy Benda of Birmingham, Michigan (Seaholm HS), ranked 50th in NCAA Division III, earned at No. 1 singles a 6-1, 6-0 against Grinnell's Judith Fan.
Benda also paired with freshman Quincey Glupker of Grandville, MIchigan (Grandville) for an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles against Fan and Amelia Cogan.
Grinnell fell to 11-5 on the season.
Hope returns to action on Thursday, March 30 with the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener against visiting Olivet at Etheridge Tennis Complex.
