Sophomore Josh Gibson of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS) tied for fifth place out of 111 golfers at the 36-hole, two-day Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.
He carded a final-round, 3-over-75 on Saturday at Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois to finish 2-over for the tournament.
No. 18-ranked Hope College placed fifth out of 21 teams (297-311—608) and finished behind Illinois Wesleyan (290-294—584), Carthage, Wisconsin (293-304—497), Augsburg, Iowa (301-304—605), and Edgewood, Wisconsin (302-303—605).
