The Hope College softball team begins the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament on Thursday at Wolters Stadium.
The two-day, double-elimination tournament will determine who receives the MIAA's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The first game is scheduled for 11 a.m. between No. 2 seeded Alma and No. 3 seeded Saint Mary's. Top-seeded Hope follows at 1 p.m. against fourth-seeded and nationally ranked Trine.
The first elimination game is 3:30 p.m. between the Game 1 and Game 2 losing teams. The 5:30 p.m. will send one team to Friday's championship round.
