Three Named to All-MIAA Softball Teams

Three Hope College standouts have been named to the 2026 All-MIAA Softball Teams: third baseman Terin Maynard, pitcher Gianna Kerschbaum, and left fielder Emily Brown.

Maynard and Kerschbaum repeated as All-MIAA selections. It is Brown's first All-MIAA accolade.

The Flying Dutch went 10-6 during MIAA regular-season games and finished fourth, qualifying for the league tournament.

Maynard claimed All-MIAA First Team distinction in both seasons with the team. The junior exercise science major from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Jenison) ranked among the top MIAA hitters with a .468  batting average in 16 MIAA games, totaling 22 hits, including three triples and two doubles. Maynard tied for the league lead with 28 runs scored and contributed 15 RBIs.

Kerschbaum is an All-MIAA Second Team honoree. The senior biology major from ??Baroda, Michigan (Stevensville-Lakeshore), excelled in the circle, tying for second among MIAA pitchers with six league wins in nine decisions and recording a 2.13 earned run average over 46 innings against MIAA opponents.

Brown also earned All-MIAA Second Team honors. The freshman from Grass Lake, Michigan (Grass Lake), hit .377 against MIAA pitchers with 10 extra-base hits, including one home run and three triples.
