Hope College's Kade Hoeksema has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for matches played August 28-September 3.

The senior from Byron Center, Michigan (Grand Rapids South Christian HS) is honored for the first time in his career after tying for second place out of 105 golfers at the Olivet College Lou Collins Memorial Tournament last weekend.

Hoeksema helped the Flying Dutchmen finish runner-up the 16-team, 36-hole tournament at Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.

Hoeksema carded rounds of 70 and 74. The 70 was the lowest of round one.
