Preview: Men's & Women's Swimming Diving Hosts Kalamazoo

The Hope College men's and women's swimming diving teams return to competition on Saturday when they host Kalamazoo College for a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meet at the Dow Center.

The Flying Dutch received honorable-mention recognition in the last College Swimming Coaches Association of America poll on December 20. Hope was the top pointgetter among those teams not in the Top 25.

Freshman Meg Peel has the sixth-fastest 200-yard  backstroke time in NCAA Division III with a top swim of 2 minutes, 1.00 seconds. She also ranks 10th in the 100 backstroke at 56.38 seconds.

Saturday's meet is the first of three at home this month for the Flying Dutchmen and Flying Dutch.

Hope will host the Michigan-Illinois Quad with Kalamazoo, Lake Forest, Illinois, and Wheaton, Illinois on Saturday, January 13 at noon at Holland Community Aquatic Center and Olivet College for a Senior Day meet on Friday, January 19 at the Dow Center.
