Hope College guard Jason Beckman has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The senior from Shelby, Michigan (Shelby HS) is receiving the award for the second week in a row and the third time this season.

Beckman scored a game-high 33 points and set two Flying Dutchmen single-game records during a come-from-behind, 78-71, victory against Wisconsin-Platteville on Saturday at DeVos Fieldhouse.

The game marked Beckman's fourth this season with 33 points.

Beckman made all 15 of his free-throw attempts against Platteville for the most made foul shots without a miss in any game by a Flying Dutchmen player.

Beckman also set the record for most free throws made in a game at DeVos Fieldhouse by a Flying Dutchmen player.

This is the eighth time in Beckman's college career he has received MIAA Player of the Week honors.
