Hope College golfer Kade Hoeksema has earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week honors.

The senior from Byron Center, Michigan (South Christian HS) is recognized after helping the Flying Dutchmen place first in each of the final two rounds of the MIAA's NCAA Division III Championship qualifier and secure a first-place finish overall.

The Flying Dutchmen are headed to the national tournament next month in Greensboro, N.C.

Hoeksema carded a 2-over-par 74 for Hope's best round at Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids on Saturday. He shot a 73 on Friday at Watermark.
