Hope College's Kade Hoeksema posted his lowest round of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship on Thursday with an even-par 72 at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The senior from Byron Center, Michigan (South Christian HS) played bogey-free on the back-nine of the 7,150-yard East Course for the Flying Dutchmen. He had two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine.
Hope shot a third-round 298 — two strokes from matching their first- and second-round efforts — and is in 12th place heading into Friday's final round.
The Flying Dutchmen will tee off at 9:25 a.m. Friday.
Junior Josh Gibson of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) is tied for ninth in the individual standings at even-par after 54 holes. He carded a 75 on Thursday.
Brian Peccie of Washington and Lee (Virginia) University is in first at 7-under.
Sophomore Daniel Settecerri of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Bloomfield Hills) chipped in a third-round 74 for Hope.
Junior Andrew Goble of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton) shot a 77. Junior Ben Kramer of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake) had a 78.
