Joshua Izenbart finished third in the javelin toss to lead the Hope College men's track & field Thursday at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day at Adrian College.

The sophomore from Glenwood, Illinois (Homewood-Flossmoor HS) recorded a toss of 47.79 meters (156 feet, 9 inches).

The two-day meet resumes on Friday. The Flying Dutchmen are in sixth place with nine points.

Sophomore Jager Haan of McBain, Michigan (Northern Michigan Christian) took seventh in the long jump at 42.60 meters (139-9).

Junior Nicholai Shaw of Allendale, Michigan (Allendale) placed eighth in the 10,000 meters at 34 minutes, 7.96 seconds.
