Justin Freeman Tops Own School Record at GVSU's Mike Lints Open

Justin Freeman's victory in the 60-meter dash at the Mike Lints Open, hosted by Grand Valley State University on Saturday, led the Hope College men's indoor track & field team to a sixth-place finish at the 15-team event.

The senior from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa), pictured, clocked a time of 6.93 and in doing so, broke his own school record of 6.99 set in 2018.

Junior Owen Ljung of Sonoma, California (Santa Monica) placed second in the 600 meters with a time of 1:22.5.

Hope finished with 40.4 points.

The Flying Dutchmen's next meet is Friday, January 25 at the Aquinas Quad in Grand Rapids.
