Andrew Caris Named MIAA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player Of The Week

Hope College's Andrew Caris has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.

The junior defender from Hartland, Michigan (Detroit Catholic Central HS) is receiving the award for the second time in his career and the first time this season.

Caris helped the Flying Dutchmen win three times in three days last week and allow an average of 4.3 goals per game.

On Saturday, Caris collected nine ground balls and caused six turnovers against Wabash College (Indiana). He also scored one goal.

On Friday, Caris totaled four ground balls and three caused turnovers against Augustana College (Illinois).

On Thursday, Caris grabbed two ground balls against Carroll University (Wisconsin) in addition to scoring one goal.
