Men's Tennis Falls To Goucher In Spring Break Opener

Michael Kiley earned two points for the Hope College men's tennis team during the Flying Dutchmen's 5-3 loss to Goucher College (Pennsylvania) on Tuesday in Orlando, Florida.

The senior from Muskegon, Michigan (Mona Shores HS) won matches at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles at the United States Tennis Association's National Training Center.

At No. 3 singles, Kiley defeated Frankie Mullinix, 7-5, 2-6, 10-4.

At No. 2 doubles, Kiley paired with senior Tim Roe of Bakersfield, California (Frontier) for an 8-6 victory over Mullinix and Elliott Diehl.

Hope claimed its other point at No. 4 singles. Junior Danny Kroeze of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian) topped Omosesan Adebamgbe, 6-2, 6-1.

The Flying Dutchmen's next match is Wednesday, March 20 vs. Bethel University in Orlando, Florida.
