Hope College guard Clayton Dykhouse has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
The junior from Zeeland, Michigan (Zeeland East HS) is receiving the honor for the first time.
Dykhouse averaged 18.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds over two games last week.
The elementary and special education major scored a career-high 24 points during a 87-74 loss at fourth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University on Friday.
Dykhouse then scored 13 points to help the Flying Dutchmen defeat Saint John's University (Minnesota) on Saturday in the consolation game of Illinois Wesleyan's Jack Sikma Hall of Fame Invitational.
In two regular-season games, Dykhouse shot 54.2 percent from the field, 75.0 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent from the foul line.
