Hope College's Anneliese Lockner has been chosen as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week.
The senior from Geneva, Illinois (Geneva Community HS) is receiving this honor for the first time in her career.
The English Language Arts K-8 Education major put in two goals, including the game-winner, during Saturday's 3-1 victory against Trine University in the championship game of the MIAA Tournament.
Lockner also recorded an assist against Trine. On Tuesday, Lockner helped the Flying Dutchmen defense shut out Albion College for 110 minutes during a semifinal game.
