Hope College's Isabelle Bertolone has received the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week honor.
This is the first time the senior from Muskegon, Michigan (Muskegon Catholic Central HS) is receiving this title.
The nursing major stopped four of five shots on net during the 3-1 win over Trine University in the MIAA Championship Title game to help send the Flying Dutch to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
On Tuesday, Bertolone held Albion College scoreless for 110 minutes and stopped all three penalty kicks she faced during a semifinal victory.
