Daniel Romano excels on the football field as well as in the classroom at Hope College.
The junior running back for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association co-champion Flying Dutchmen has been selected as one of top student-athletes in the nation.
Romano (Royal Oak, Michigan / Shrine Catholic) has been voted to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America® Team for NCAA Division III. The biomedical/bioelectrical engineering major is one of 25 second-team selections.
Head coach Peter Stuursma said Romano is an exceptional student-athlete.
"Daniel is the epitome of a student-athlete. He has an incredible work ethic on and off the field, he is humble, and is very driven for the success of the team."
