The Hope College women's swimming and diving team closed out the regular season with a Senior Day win against Kalamazoo, 180.50-105.50, and Alma, 200-83, on Friday evening at Holland Community Aquatic Center.
The Flying Dutch honored seniors Mackenzie Ralston and Hope Reynolds during a ceremony prior to the start of the meet.
Freshman Cameron Hamilton of Libertyville, Illinois (Libertyville HS), pictured right, swept diving with two wins, scoring 205.75 points on the 1-meter board and 213.65 points on the 3-meter board.
The Flying Dutch also won nine events, claiming 1-2 finishes in three of them.
Junior Abigail LaDuke of Holland (West Ottawa) led the 1,650-yard freestyle at 18:12.62, with freshman Jess Estabrook of Carmel, Indiana (Carmel HS) touching in at 18.31.19.
Emma Schaefer of DeWitt (Saint Johns) finished first in the 100-yard freestyle at 54.30 seconds, and freshman Maggie Hoerner of Hold (Holt) followed in with a 55.70-second swim. Shaefer also took first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.21.
In the 200 yard breaststroke, freshman Maddie Kievit of Grandville (Grandville) took first place with a swim of 2:32.16, and sophomore Alyssa Kerkman of South Bend, Indiana (Saint Joseph) took second with a 2:36.63 finish.
Swimmers Rachel Gamm and Maddy O'Donnell also recorded two first-place finishes.
Gamm took first place in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:12.25. The Rockford freshman (Rockford) touched in at 2:10.62 in the 200 yard backstroke.
O'Donnell finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.16. The freshman of Lincolnshire, Ill. (Stevenson) touched in at 58.00 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly. Her 100-yard butterfly is also the eighth all-time performance in program history.
Hope's next meet is the MIAA Championships on Thursday, March 4, and Saturday, March 6 at Calvin University.
