Jacinda Cole, Grace Behrens, Hannah Kenny, and Ana Tucker went the distance for a school record for the Hope College women's indoor track and field team.
They recorded NCAA Division III's fastest distance medley relay this season as well.
Cole, Behrens, Kenny, and Tucker clocked a time of 11 minutes, 50.92 seconds among a field of NCAA Division I and II entrants on Saturday at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet.
Also, on Saturday, Hope took first place at a four-team meet hosted by Trine University.
For NCAA Division III rankings, Hope's distance medley relay's time is converted to 11:58.53 because of GVSU's oversized track that creates faster times.
The Flying Dutch were 1 ½ minutes faster than Division III's top performance heading into the weekend — Gustavus Adolphus (Minnesota) at 13:28.41.

Hope's old distance medley relay record of 12:13.18 belonged to the 2018 relay of Alexis Guttilla, Rachel Satkiewicz, Chelsea Miskelley, and Rachael Webb.

"The distance medley relay is reflective of both the depth and breadth of your team," said assistant track and field coach Mark Northuis, whose focus is working with distance runners. "To have all four runners perform their personal best times for the respective legs bodes very well for the future races. We're very excited about the way they competed against a division one and division two schools in this race and finished with the top distance medley relay time in Division III."
The school-record and Division III-leading performance was the second of the weekend meet for Tucker. On Friday, she accomplished both feats in dominant fashion in the 5,000 meters.
The Flying Dutch's next meet is the Friday, February 19 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree hosted by Calvin University.
