Hope College goalie Ian Bosman has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week.

The junior biomedical and biomechanical engineering major from Centennial, Colorado (Cherry Creek HS) is honored after his performance during a 20-7 victory against visiting Alma College on Friday.

Bosman recorded a season-high 13 saves with a 76.5 percent save percentage against the Scots. He collected eight ground balls.

It was Bosman's third start of the season and third victory for the unbeaten Flying Dutchmen (3-0 overall).

This is Bosman's first MIAA weekly honor.
