Women's Indoor Track and Field Ranks with NCAA Division III's Elite

Hope College finished 11th in the final NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field National Rating Index from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association champion Flying Dutch was assigned a total of 80.49 points.

A team's score is determined by its student-athletes' national rankings in individual and relay events.

Hope, led by head coach Kevin Cole, ranks No. 1 in Division III in two events and scored in seven events total.

The distance medley relay of senior Jacinda Cole, sophomore Grace Behrens, senior Hannah Kenny, and sophomore Ana Tucker is first with a program-record time of 11 minutes, 58.53 seconds.

Tucker Midland, Michigan (H.H. Dow) went the fastest in the 3,000 meters with a program-record time of 9:39.72. She also finished third in the 1-mile run at a program-record 4:57.92 and the 5,000 meters at a program-record 17:11.98.

In the 1 mile run, Cole (Holland, Michigan/West Ottawa) is ninth in the 1-mile at 5:01.90, and Kenny (Grand Haven, Michigan/Grand Haven) is 32nd at 5:14.85.

In the 4x400 relay, Hope is 20th with sophomore Claire Benedict of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern), Kenny, Cole, and Behrens (Mishawaka, Indiana/Trinity School at Greenlawn) going 4:08.82.

In the 5,000 meters, sophomore Anna Mason of Zeeland, Michigan (Libertas Christian) is 18th at 18:02.77.

In the 3,000 meters, freshman Rebecca Markham of Hoffman Estates, Illinois (William Fremd) is 25th at 10:29.78, while Mason is 28th at 10:31.52.

In the 400 meters, Behrens is 27th at 59.58.

In the 800 meters, Cole is 27th at 2:19.88.
