Two members of the Hope College ice hockey team have received All-America honors from the American College Hockey Association for the 2020-21 season.
Forward Brad Baysore is one of six first-team selections, while defenseman Ashton Bol is one of six second-team honorees.
In 11 regular-season games, Baysore, pictured right, topped the Flying Dutchmen with nine goals.
The junior from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christina HS) shared the team-lead with 14 points. He also registered five assists.
Bol anchored a Hope defense that shut out two opponents and held another five opponents to one goal.
The freshman from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian) also recorded five assists in 11 games.
Chris Van Timmeren Selected as ACHA Division 3 Coach of the Year
Hope College ice hockey head coach Chris Van Timmeren has been named the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 Coach of the Year for the 2020-21 season.
This is the fourth time Van Timmeren has received the honor — the most among the entire ACHA.
Van Timmeren previously was recognized in 2017-18, 2007-08, and 2006-07.
This season, Van Timmeren guided the Flying Dutchmen to their second ACHA national title and a 13-2-1 overall record.
Hope previously won a national title during the 2017-18 season.
Since the 2000-01 season, Van Timmeren has led the Flying Dutchmen with a 510-153-14 record. Hope has skated to 20 consecutive winning seasons under his guidance.
