The Hope College men's golf team concluded its 2021 spring season with a third-place finish in the final MIAA Jamboree on Saturday at the PohlCat Golf Course in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
Kalamazoo College won the event with a 305 while Trine University was second with 309.
The Flying Dutchmen's total of 311 was one stroke better than fourth-place Calvin University (312). Those results allowed the two rivals to end the season tied for second place in the overall league standings with 1,824 strokes.
Trine is this spring's MIAA champion as the Thunder totaled 1,778 strokes over six official MIAA Jamborees.
Freshman Will Robson of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS), pictured right, led Hope by carding a one-over 73, good for second place individually.
Logan DeWitt was Hope's next best scorer on Saturday. The freshman from Zeeland, Michigan (Holland Christian) fired a five-over 77.
Sophomore Jack Crawford of Carmel, Indiana (Carmel HS), pictured left, followed with a round of 79 strokes.
Robson and Crawford were both named to All-MIAA Teams after the final league round. Robson earned first team honors by averaging 74.33 strokes on the season, while Crawford claimed second team honors for averaging 76.66.
Finishing out scores for Hope on Saturday were sophomore Seth Almquist (Minneapolis, Minn./Wayzata) who shot an 82, and freshman Brian Marx (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Pontiac Notre Dame Prep) who had an 84.
