Hope College's Brian Marx has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Golf Athlete of the Week

The freshman from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Pontiac Notre Dame Prep HS) earned medalist honors at the second MIAA Jamboree hosted by Adrian College last Saturday by firing an even-par 71 at Lenawee Country Club. It was the lowest round of his collegiate career.

Marx helped the Flying Dutchmen finish runner-up at the jamboree and move into second place in the season standings.

This is his first MIAA Athlete of the Week honor.
