Hope College's Hannah Kenny bounced back to finish 15th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase final on Friday at the NCAA Division III Track/Field Championships in Greensboro, N.C.
The senior from Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS) recovered after being inadvertently tripped during the 1,500-meter preliminaries on Thursday and placing 19th.
"She had a nice steeplechase race," head coach Kevin Cole said. "She had a great finish to her season and to her career. She's very happy with how things turned out."
Kenny was Hope's only competitor on Friday.
On Saturday, junior Nick Hoffman (Holland, Michigan / Holland) will run in the men's 1,500-meter final at 12:35 p.m., while sophomore Ana Tucker (Midland, Michigan / H.H. Dow) will race in the women's 5,000-meter final at 3:25 p.m.

On Thursday, Jacinda Cole also competed in the women's 1,500-meter preliminaries. The senior from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) took 18th with a time of 4:43.67. Kenny finished in 4:51.26.
"Jacinda finished strong. She was really happy with her senior year," Kevin Cole said.
