Hope College freshman Sara Kraus is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Swimming Athlete of the week for the third time in her career.
Hailing from Rockford, Michigan, Kraus placed in the top three in three events individually, and one with a medley.
The 100-yard breaststroke was the freshman's first-place finish in the University of Chicago meet, with a clocked time of 1:06.88. Kraus would take home second place in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.42) and the 400-yard IM (4:41.40).
The Rockford High School alumnus also was a part of the second place finishing team in the 200-yard medley with a time of 1:47.86.
