The Hope College men's cross country team gained insight on the course where the NCAA DIII Nationals Meet will be held, while also competing against a plethora of competitive schools.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology took home first place, North Central (Ill.) grabbed second, and Wisconsin-La Crosse finished third.Â
The Flying Dutchmen completed the day in 29th place at Forest Akers Golf Course where a familiar face, Olivet College, was the host.Â
Sophomore Cole Jensen (Montague, Michigan / Montague HS)Â led the way for Hope, finishing with a time of 27:03 and placing in 150th.Â
Senior Aidan Jones (West Olive, Michigan / Black River)Â took up the number two spot for the Flying Dutchmen at the Pre-Nationals Meet with a time of 27:55.8.

The Flying Dutchmen run again on Saturday, October 15 as they will run at both Muskegon Community College at the University Park Golf Course at 11 a.m and Augustana College (Ill.) at 10:30 a.m. CT.Â
